For MICRO 2026, we prioritise interaction between participants. To this end, we will have three presentation formats :
Walking Talks (WT):
A format to (i) increase participants' interactions in small groups, (ii) enjoy the city outside of the conference center, and (iii) work collectively on the synthesis process at the core of the Conference Outputs. With this in mind...
For Speakers who will prepare a Walking Talk: be imaginative and bring whatever you need for your talk; printed or blank paper, a demo, a physical sample, a model … plan to be outside or in a semi-informal setting.
Each group will have 5 Speakers presenting Walking Talks, and will include as group members 10 Speakers from Oral Talks and 10 Speakers from Poster Talks, for a total of 25 Speakers participating per group. Also, each group will have 2 chairpersons serving as group coordinators.
For each of the 90' Walking Talk Sessions during the week, each group will determine its preferred way to listen to 2 Walking Talks, visit 3 Posters, and integrate 2 Oral Talks into their discussions. The group members will remain the same for each group throughout the week. The Walking Talk group member composition will be available prior to the conference. More details to follow…
Oral Talks (RT):
Standard conference presentation sessions, likely held in parallel with 3 sessions running concurrently. In each session, each speaker will have 7'-10' to present, and there will be 2'-5' for questions.
More details to follow…
Poster Talks (PT):
Standard conference poster sessions, with the intention for presenters to have their posters on display all 5 days of the conference and given particular attention within their Walking Talk group and during the scheduled poster sessions. More details to follow… :)
